Tim Burton x PETA’s Whimsical Limited-Edition Merch Sparks a Pro-Adoption Message
It’s a big wish come true! In a world that feels straight out of a Tim Burton film—where misfits long to be loved—countless cats and dogs need homes.

Now, Burton is bringing his signature charm to a very real nightmare: the companion animal overpopulation and homelessness crisis. The legendary Beetlejuice and Wednesday director collaborated with PETA to create one-of-a-kind custom illustrations featuring his cherished dog Levi for a limited-edition line of t-shirts, tote bags, and bandanas.

The whimsical wearables are available now for animal allies worldwide to show off their fandom and remind everyone to always adopt—never shop—and have their animal companions spayed or neutered.
The Not-So Pee Wee Problem
With millions of homeless dogs and cats in the U.S. at any given time, animals struggle to survive on the streets, where they’re vulnerable to traffic, starvation, attacks by other animals or cruel humans, and deadly diseases. Many suffer from heat exhaustion in the summer and suffer terribly in the winter when temperatures plummet.

Spaying and neutering are routine, necessary surgeries that prevent more animals from being born into a world bursting at the seams with unwanted ones. Plus, sterilization helps cats and dogs live longer, healthier lives. Fixed animals are less likely to suffer from life-threatening cancers and infections or contract deadly, contagious diseases, such as feline AIDS and feline leukemia, that are spread through bodily fluids.
The companion animal overpopulation crisis is a worldwide one, and PETA entities around the globe are busy spaying and neutering animals at no or low cost in areas where guardians otherwise have no means of obtaining such lifesaving services.

Breeders and pet stores further exacerbate the companion animal homelessness and overpopulation problem by churning out more kittens and puppies while countless others wait to be adopted in shelters.
Every Peculiar Pup and Curious Cat Belongs in a Loving Home—Help Curb Companion Animal Homelessness!
If you are ready to welcome a real-life Frankenweenie into your home and provide them with a lifetime of love and care, always adopt—never buy from breeders or pet stores. Take it from Edward Scissorhands and snip away at animal overpopulation by always getting your companion spayed or neutered.

All proceeds from sales of the PETA x Tim Burton line will go toward PETA’s vital work. Our fieldworkers bring free and low-cost spay/neuter clinics to underserved areas, provide sturdy dog houses for dogs who are chained outdoors, offer free veterinary services, and much more.
