Contest Details
PETA’s 2015 Sexiest Vegan Next Door contest will be broken down into two rounds: the entry round and the finalist round, during which finalists chosen by a PETA panel will be voted on by the public to help PETA determine who it should select as the winners. You can enter the contest during the entry round only.
Here’s how it works: Submit your entry by 12 p.m. EDT on March 13. If deemed appropriate by PETA, you’ll be in the running to win a trip for two to Hawaii! Don’t worry—only your first name, city, state, and photo will be posted on our website if you’re chosen as a finalist.
PETA will consider two factors in choosing the finalists:
- Your enthusiasm for vegan living as demonstrated by your responses to the entry questionnaire
- PETA’s assessment of your physical attractiveness
PETA will consider four factors in choosing the winners:
- The total number of votes that you receive
- Your enthusiasm for winning the title as demonstrated by your promotion of your entry via social media
- Your enthusiasm for vegan living as demonstrated by your responses to the entry questionnaire
- PETA’s assessment of your physical attractiveness
All entries must be submitted by 12 p.m. EDT on March 13, 2015. At 12 p.m. EDT on April 13, 2015, PETA will announce 20 finalists—determined by a PETA panel—and voting will open to the public to help PETA determine who it should select as the winners. Voting to help PETA determine who it will select as the winners ends at 12 p.m. EDT on May 1, 2015.
On May 6, 2015, the winners (one male and one female) will be announced!
And now, on to the good stuff—prizes! Other Contest Guidelines
- Only residents of the United States are eligible.
- All entrants must be at least 22 years old. (If you are between 13 and 21, thank you for your interest, but please do not submit an entry. Instead, please visit peta2.com, where we’ll be launching our Coolest Vegan Alive contest very soon!)
- The contest is not open to finalists or winners of previous Sexiest Vegetarian Over 50, Sexiest Vegan Over 50, Sexiest Vegetarian Next Door, Sexiest Vegan Next Door, Cutest Vegan Alive, or Cutest Vegetarian Alive contests run by PETA.
- Each entrant must be vegan.
- High-resolution photos are required. The image must be sharp (not blurry or fuzzy) and well lit, tasteful, and only the entrant should appear in the photograph.
- Entrants should not be celebrities. If you’ve won your hometown’s beauty pageant or appeared in your local firefighters’ calendar, you still qualify. But if you regularly appear in People magazine, we respectfully ask that you step out of the spotlight for this contest.
- We will award each winner a trip for two to Hawaii, including round-trip coach airfare and beautiful accommodations for seven nights.
- No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.
