This short king goes a long way for animals! Before Love Island USA season six winner Kordell Beckham coupled up with fellow islander Serena Page, he says he fell in “love at first sight” with his own soul tie: his adopted companion cat, Milo! Ahead of his upcoming acting debut in Keke Palmer’s Southern Fried Rice KeyTV series, Beckham poses in a spiffy suit alongside Milo to urge everyone to adopt, not shop—and to help make it a love that lasts by giving their animal companions the best possible care.

When it comes to companion care, Beckham stands on business. As he demonstrates with Milo, responsible cat guardianship means always giving them loads of affection, making sure their litter box is clean and tidy, keeping them safe indoors, and never declawing. (And buying animals from breeders? Beckham says that’s a “dealbreaker.”)
