Gentle sheep share extremely close bonds with other members of their families and feel distressed when they are separated from their loved ones. Cows have unique personalities—some are adventurous and bold, others shy or cautious; some are timid, others bossy. They form friendships, interact in socially complex ways, and even sometimes hold grudges against others who hurt them.
