Do You Live in North Carolina? Please Help Protect Chained and Penned Dogs

Recently, after receiving a tip from a concerned resident, PETA found three dogs who had died of starvation and four severely neglected chained dogs in Nash County. PETA alerted the authorities and requested an investigation. The dogs’ two owners were each charged with four counts of cruelty to animals. Unfortunately, such cases are all too common. Every day, PETA fieldworkers find dogs who are deprived of basic necessities of life, not to mention affection and respect.

This is one of four severely neglected dogs found by PETA and seized by Nash County Animal Control.

PETA is working to raise awareness and raise animal welfare standards in the state. Do you know your local and/or state lawmakers, or do you know someone who does? Do you work with or have a connection to local businesses or prominent members of your community? If you’re up for joining us in any way, big or small, please get in touch and sign up! These dogs need all the help they can get.

Anyone in North Carolina can take action.
