Free ‘Missing’ Calf Posters!

Some folks like to think that milk comes from happy cows on friendly farms where mothers and their calves live long, healthy lives, grazing and frolicking in the sunshine all day, every day.

But that’s not reality. This is:

On dairy farms, cows don’t get to spend time with their babies after they’re born. They don’t get to show them love, nuzzle them, or raise them as nature intended. Instead, frightened calves are torn away from their mother’s side, sometimes within a day or two of being born.

Female calves are sentenced to the same fate as their mothers, and males are sent to barren lots to await slaughter or are confined to crates and killed for veal after only a few months of life.

But you can help stop this deadly cycle.

Grab people’s attention: Print out a few of these “Missing” fliers and post them on bulletin boards at coffee shops, grocery stores, laundromats, and other places around town. Show people that every time they buy cow’s milk, they’re paying someone to kidnap and kill babies on dairy farms—and tell them to ditch dairy “products”.
