Urge Wallack Management Company in New York City to Ditch Glue Traps!
Wallack Management Company in New York City has reportedly set out glue traps in an apparent attempt to control the rodent population.
Victims of these devices suffer immensely, succumbing to shock, dehydration, asphyxiation, or blood loss after ripping themselves apart in their frantic struggle to escape from the gooey mess. Exhausted and terrified, they can take days to die—and labels instruct users to toss them into the garbage along with the traps! Furthermore, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cautions against using glue traps because of the human health risks they pose. And these devices are indiscriminate, ensnaring countless “nontarget” species every year.
However, despite having shared all this information with the property management company, PETA has received no assurance that glue traps (if set out) would be removed—so your voice is desperately needed.
Please politely call and e-mail the company’s management and request that any glue traps be ditched immediately:
