As you may know, a visitor at the Waccatee Zoo in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, reported observing a white pigeon being violently plucked and pecked at by a cagemate. Alarming photographs provided to PETA showed a bird who was stripped almost bald of her feathers. Because of your calls to the facility, the injured bird has been removed from the pen so that she can heal and won’t be returned to it. Thank you to everyone who spoke out for this animal! Many more animals need your compassionate voice, so please check out our other alerts!
