Neo Vertika Doubles Down on Pigeon Massacre—Speak Up!

This recent news story features a video apparently captured at the Neo Vertika condo building in Miami’s Brickell community, depicting a man grabbing pigeons from a trap, roughly stuffing them into a trash bag, very likely snapping their necks, then shoving their bodies into a bucket. And eyewitnesses state that these pigeons had languished for days in the trap before their apparent executioner showed up.

This follow-up article states that the condo’s management office has confirmed the video was taken at their property, and that they stand behind this brutal activity! Apparently, Neo Vertika management cites residents with bird feeders as the reason for a recent spike in their pigeon population, yet they say that feeding has not stopped. As such, the initiative will, of course, be entirely ineffective as newcomers arrive for the still-available resources. Local pigeons would therefore be staring down the barrel of an endless killing cycle.

We contacted condo management urging them to halt this barbaric initiative in favor of humane, tried and true methods of pigeon population control, but our pleas have gone unanswered. These animals need your voice! Please politely urge the below officials to scrap this killing spree promptly in favor of nonlethal measures that are tried and true, then forward this alert to everyone you know who will take action!
