Glue Traps Reportedly Deployed at NY Apt Complex—Act Now!
PETA has received an urgent report that Manhasset Valley Residence, an apartment complex in Manhasset, NY, currently has glue traps set throughout the complex, and that they are also handed out to residents for individual use. Glue traps are notoriously cruel, dangerous devices that cause immense suffering while indiscriminately inflicting terrifying deaths on any animals who become ensnared upon them. Our source reports that just yesterday, someone was observed throwing a glue trap with two live mice desperately mired in the glue into the trash chute, where they were likely crushed to death. But trapped animals typically take days to die of starvation, dehydration, shock, asphyxiation, or blood loss while they cry out in fear and agony. Others suffocate in the sticky mess.

PETA implored decision makers to do away with these medieval devices, but they insisted that they’re only acting in the interests of their elderly residents’ safety. However, glue traps pose a distinct threat to humans as well, as panicked animals continue to produce excrement, which leaves people—and vulnerable populations especially—at increased risk of disease. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) cautions against glue traps for this reason!
Now it’s your turn! Please politely urge the following decision makers to do the right thing, and ditch glue traps from their rodent-control program:
