CEO Beats Puppy—Ask That the Dog Be Turned Over Now!

Media outlets have shared shocking security footage that shows Jeffrey Previte, the CEO of nationwide consulting agency EBI Consulting, abusing a puppy, violently jerking her about and lifting her off the floor by the ears—all apparently because she couldn’t hold her bladder. According to reports, Previte had previously posted a photo of a deer he had shot to his social media account with a caption mocking the animal with the name “Bambi.” Recent news articles report that Previte has “apologized” for abusing his puppy Bici, but that’s too little, too late.

A dog only urinates indoors out of fear, neglect, or an infection—and it’s just as abominable to beat animals for losing control of their bladders as it is children. Previte’s initial attitude was reportedly that he did nothing wrong, so it’s hard to imagine that he’s remorseful, except perhaps for losing business. His “apology” is meaningless to traumatized Bici, who has no way of understanding it and who needs to be rescued as soon as possible.

No one with an ounce of respect for animals or love for a dog should ever do business with a man who shoots and kills animals for fun when he’s not tormenting his dog at home.

And it would seem that the “loving family” that Previte has purportedly found for Bici may be his own! On September 11, the Daily Mail quoted his brother as assuring coworkers via e-mail that Bici is “happy, comfy and full on my couch right now.”

PETA is calling on Previte and his family to do the right thing by immediately surrendering Bici so that she can receive the care that she needs and not face future violence, and we urge everyone to join us in that call.

“Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?” READ MORE
