Urge Governor Jiménez to Ban Bullfighting at the Feria Nacional de San Marco Festival in Aguascalientes

Bullfighting is an antiquated display of violence and cruelty from a time when humans had far less understanding of animals and their needs. Bullfighting is not “culture” or “tradition.” It’s torture. These intelligent, sensitive beings are forced into a nightmarish spectacle of terror and pain before they’re viciously killed—all for the fleeting amusement of the audience.

Most Mexican citizens agree; bullfighting is abuse and must be banned. Yet bullfights are scheduled to take place at the Feria Nacional de San Marcos Festival in Aguascalientes starting on April 19. It’s up to Governor Maria Teresa Jiménez to ban these inhumane spectacles—which she has the power to do.

Please urge Governor Maria Teresa Jiménez to ban bullfighting in Aguascalientes.
