Despite Dolphin Deaths, Bow Wow Plans to Perform at SeaWorld—Take Action!

More than 400 dolphins have already died at SeaWorld—many far short of their natural life expectancy—and over 130 others are still suffering at the parks, crammed into just seven small tanks. Yet Bow Wow plans to perform at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival and SeaWorld San Diego’s Summer Spectacular Concert Series.

In nature, bottlenose dolphins maintain dynamic relationships in large social networks, choose their own mates, and swim free in the ocean, but dolphins at SeaWorld are still being forcibly bred—sometimes after being drugged. Artists who support the cruel company help it profit from its speciesism—a human-supremacist worldview.

Many major artists—including Jason Derulo, Barenaked Ladies, Cheap Trick, Willie Nelson, and Trisha Yearwood—have canceled their performances at the abusement park. Urge Bow Wow to follow the lead of other compassionate performers who have chosen not to associate with SeaWorld.
