Moby Donates Song ‘Everloving’ to New PETA Germany Campaign

PSA Encourages Viewers to Be Kind to Animals

Musician and longtime vegan Moby has donated the rights to his song “Everloving” to PETA Germany for an inspiring new spot, “One Step Further,” which urges compassion for all living beings. The one-minute PSA, available here, features scenes from the past as a means of highlighting the progress that humankind has made toward becoming more compassionate—but it also emphasizes that we need to go one step further by extending compassion to all living beings and granting nonhuman animals the right to live free from exploitation and abuse.

“Throughout history, people in power have hurt and exploited others simply because they were different,” said PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “Our commitment to animal rights is just as important as other social movements across history, and now is the time to grant all sentient beings the freedom and compassion that they deserve.”

Moby joins The Beatles, The Black Keys, and Sia, who have all donated songs to PETA and its affiliates, whose shared motto reads that “[a]nimals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way.”
