Leather’s Grisly Secret: See How PETA Asia Made Shoppers’ Jaws Drop

There’s cruelty and suffering behind every accessory and article of clothing made of exotic skins—and a recent viral video from PETA Asia couldn’t have made the grisly connection any clearer. Shoppers at a Bangkok mall were drawn to the jackets, shoes, and accessories on display at The Leather Work, a shop that was conceptualized and created for PETA Asia by Ogilvy & Mather’s Bangkok office. When the shoppers took a closer look, though, they learned about the cold-blooded cruelty of the exotic-skins industry.
