The peta2 Experience—or p2x, an animal rights conference for young people presented by PETA’s youth division—is coming to Orlando to give high school and college students a chance to connect with other young animal rights advocates; get inspired by a talk from one of peta2’s soon-to-be-announced celebrity supporters; dine on delicious, free vegan burritos, courtesy of Chipotle; and get the inside scoop on how best to address animal rights issues with friends, family members, and teachers:

When:   Saturday, March 29, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Where:  511 Virginia Dr. (near N. Orange Avenue), Orlando

This event, which is part of peta2’s youth conferences across North America, will conclude with a lively protest against SeaWorld Orlando.

“Whether you’re new to animal rights or a protesting pro, The peta2 Experience will give you the tools that you need to be an effective advocate for animals,” says peta2 Director Marta Holmberg. “You’ll make new friends, learn about rescuing animals and leading protests, and get hands-on experience protesting against SeaWorld’s cruelty to orcas.”

Thanks in part to the hit documentary Blackfish—which graphically revealed how SeaWorld separates baby orcas from their loving mothers—young people across the country are protesting SeaWorld for locking far-ranging orcas in tiny concrete tanks, where they suffer physically and psychologically from the constant deprivation of confinement.

Tickets to The peta2 Experience are $5 and are available at peta2.com/p2x.
