PETA Offers Acting Army Secretary a Way to Save Animals, Modernize Military

Please see the following statement from PETA Vice President Shalin Gala regarding the news that Adam Telle is now Acting Secretary of the Army:

PETA congratulates Adam Telle on his appointment as Acting Secretary of the Army and encourages him to make an immediate mark by banning the branch’s gruesome and deadly weapon-wounding experiments on animals. The military has squandered more than $70 million since 2021 on cruel tests in which monkeys, rabbits, pigs, and other animals are shot, poisoned with chemical agents, burned with radiation, and subjected to other atrocities before being killed. These experiments fail to produce meaningful results, and PETA urges military leaders to modernize military research by funding only state-of-the-art, human-relevant methods.
