Saturday night, The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie actor Edie Falco helped toast PETA’s decades of victories for animals at “Once Upon a Time: Come Relive PETA’s Magical Milestones,” an enchanting storybook-inspired soiree at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. Photos are available here.

Falco, whose many collaborations with PETA have included the popular “Don’t Take My Cheese” Super Bowl campaign, joined guests for delicious vegan cocktails, canapés, and a presentation from PETA’s leadership about how PETA is working to secure a happily-ever-after for animals everywhere. PETA also presented the prestigious Nanci Alexander Activist Award to Dr. Kathy Strickland, the veterinarian who blew the whistle on the abuse of monkeys at infamous primate dealer Alpha Genesis.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kitsfor people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
