Don’t just wear green—eat green, too! Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, PETA is serving up steamy messages along Cleveland’s parade route, encouraging attendees to “Go Vegan and Get Really Lucky This St. Patrick’s Day.”

“The most meaningful way to ‘go green’ this St. Patrick’s Day is by going vegan,” says PETA President Tracy Reiman. “PETA’s eye-catching displays remind everyone hoping to get lucky this holiday and beyond that there’s nothing more charming than a meat-free mate.”
Cows feel love, joy, fear, and pain just like all animals, and mourn when a loved one dies or when they’re separated from each other. But in the meat industry, workers shoot cows in the head with a captive-bolt gun, hang them up by one leg, and slit their throats, often while they’re still conscious.
Each person who goes vegan spares nearly 200 animals every year. Vegans pack a punch in the bedroom, too: Low-fat vegan meals have been shown to address the physical causes of the vast majority of impotence cases, including high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancer, inflammation, and hormonal imbalances.
PETA’s messages are up now and can be seen at 5 kiosks and 3 pillars along the parade route:
