Ahead of Pi Day (March 14), PETA has calculated the best vegan Key lime pies from around the Sunshine State with its first-ever Kind Lime Pie awards—and Christopher’s Kitchen—with locations in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens—has nabbed a spot on the list. The vegan eatery’s craveable creamy cashew Key Lime Pie is organic, gluten-free, sweetened with coconut palm sugar and dates, and finished with a zest of lime and velvety house-made vanilla cream.

“The craveable Key Lime Pie from Christopher’s Kitchen is guaranteed to pi-que every sweet lover’s taste buds, offering flavors that are tart-tally irresistibleand wonderfully kind to animals, too,” says PETA President Tracy Reiman. “Every winner on PETA’s list serves up a unique spin on Florida’s iconic state pie, proving that vegan takes on baking classics have infinite possibilities.”
PETA notes that in addition to being a treat for the taste buds, vegan desserts are kind to mother cows, whose calves are taken away from them on dairy farms, and to mother hens, who are caged and used as egg-producing machines until their bodies give out and they’re sent to slaughter. PETA’s free vegan starter kit can help those looking to make the switch.
Christopher’s Kitchen will receive a framed award certificate from PETA, along with bragging rights. Other winners on PETA’s list include Moondog Cafe & Bakery in Key West, Stephanie’s Vegan Bakery + Cafe in Fort Lauderdale, Valhalla Bakery in Orlando and Saint Petersburg, and Green Zebra Cafe in Sarasota.
Christopher’s Kitchen is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 days a week at its 328 Fern St. location in West Palm Beach, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. 7 days a week at 4783 PGA Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens.
