To mark the release of the new season of Selling Sunset, Chrishell Stause and her new rescue pup, Peace, are co-starring in a new PETA campaign to urge everyone to Give a Shelter Dog Their Home Sweet Home and include them in every part of our day—whether we’re getting ready in the morning, preparing dinner, or going for a walk around the neighborhood.

“Dogs are pack animals. They need your love, your attention, your consideration, and your time,” Stause says in an accompanying video spot. The famed real estate agent adopted Peace in May after the passing of her beloved rescue dog Gracie, who starred with her in a previous PETA campaign promoting the importance of adopting dogs from shelters and never buying them from breeders or pet stores. U.S. shelters are bursting at the seams, and every time a breeder sells puppy, a dog waiting in an animal shelter or struggling to survive on the streets loses a chance at finding a loving home.
Dogs also need plenty of enrichment and frequent walks where they can exercise and explore. But as Stause says in the video, “No sharp prongs or choke collars, please!” She also warns guardians that leaving dogs outside for too long can make them lonely or put them in danger. And most importantly, dogs should be treated as members of the family every single day, because “…to them, you are their whole world.”
Stause joins a long list of celebrities—including Dylan McDermott, Kathy Griffin, Lisa Ann Walter, Ron Perlman, Tom Hardy, John Stamos, Ryan Eggold, Theo Rossi, and Cristin Milioti—who have teamed up with PETA to promote adoption.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kitsfor people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow PETA on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
