On Monday, peta2—PETA’s youth division—and an adorable, giant unicorn will prove just how magical vegan pizza can be by handing out free slices covered in tasty, gooey dairy-free cheese outside Domino’s on E. Landis Avenue. The piping-hot promo is part of PETA’s “Vegan Cheese, Please” campaign, which has customers who shun dairy for environmental, health, lactose intolerance, cruelty, and religious reasons calling on Domino’s to add vegan cheese to its U.S. menu—as the company has already done in Switzerland, Australia, Spain, Germany, and the U.K.
In addition to New Jersey, PETA has also given away free vegan pizza outside of Domino’s locations in New York, California, Florida, Colorado, South Carolina, and Tennessee—with more to come.
“Melty, mouthwatering vegan cheese is mind-blowing on pizza and leaves cows and their young in peace,” says peta2 Vice President Rachelle Owen. “With young people increasingly ditching dairy, peta2 is urging Domino’s to come in clutch for compassionate customers by adding vegan cheese to the menu.”
Where: Outside Domino’s, 510 E. Landis Ave., Vineland
When: Monday, July 21, 12 noon

Why: Cows have friends and mourn when a loved one dies or when they’re separated from each other, yet in the dairy industry, female cows are forcibly impregnated and have their beloved calves stolen from them so the milk meant to nourish their babies can be sold to humans. Newborn males are slaughtered for veal, while female calves endure the same fate as their mothers until their bodies wear out and they’re sent to slaughter.
peta2—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers young people positive, empowering actions to help animals. For more information, please visit peta2.com or follow peta2 on TikTok or Instagram.
