Fashion Friday: Sheer, Not Shear

What’s wrong with shearing? Workers who shear sheep are paid by the animal, not the hour, and therefore rush through the process with little regard for the animal’s welfare, looking to make the most money in the least amount of time. This rushed and careless process often leads to painful cuts and sores on the animals and can even lead to amputation and mutilation. Leaving wool out of your wardrobe this season sends the message that you do not support cruelty to sheep and lambs in the wool industry. So be compassionate and choose sheer, not shear!
