A choir of PETA supporters—some wearing sweaters featuring a stuffed mutilated sheep protruding from the front and back—will gather near the Crown Center Square fountain on Wednesday to urge passersby to shop for only vegan clothing and gifts and never buy wool. They’ll treat the crowd to a delightful concert of classic Christmas carols with a twist—including “Violent Night” and “Let Wool Go, Let It Go.”

When:    Wednesday, December 22, 12 noon

Where:    2405 Grand Blvd., near the Crown Center Square fountain, Kansas City, Missouri

One PETA exposé after another has revealed that gentle sheep are beaten bloody for wool sweaters, coats, hats, and scarves,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Holiday shoppers can extend the season’s spirit of goodwill to all by leaving wool right where it belongs: on its original owners.”

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to wear”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview.
