The Fur Flies as peta2 Takes Aim at the Fugliest Fur-Wearers

Los Angeles — Fur coats are about as popular as cold sores in Hollywood, so for peta2—the world’s largest youth animal rights organization—it’s open season on the few celebs who wrap themselves in dead animals. A penchant for pelts has landed Nicole Richie and Ashley Olsen at the top of peta2’s annual "Worst-Dressed" list:

Noticeably absent from this year’s list is 2005’s "Worst-Dressed" winner, Paris Hilton. The formerly furry heiress seems to have had a change of heart. She has been telling reporters that, like a growing number of compassionate people, she no longer wears fur after seeing how animals—including cats and dogs—are bludgeoned, strangled, and skinned alive on Chinese fur farms.
