Los Angeles - Janice Dickinson's sexy models have a reputation for turning heads--they even have their own reality show on Oxygen--but never quite like this before. That's because on Monday, August 20, dozens of Dickinson models--along with Janice herself--will march along Hollywood Boulevard wearing skimpy undies and holding signs reading, "We'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur." The action--in conjunction with PETA--marks Dickinson's declaration of a fur-free policy.

Date: Monday, August 20
Time: 12 noon sharp
Place: Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, 6800 Hollywood Blvd. (at Highland Avenue)

PETA wants consumers to know that animals trapped for fur suffer excruciating pain before they are stomped to death or have their necks broken by trappers. On fur farms, animals spend their entire lives in tiny, filthy cages before they are killed by poisoning, gassing, anal electrocution, or neck-breaking. In China, now the world's leading fur exporter, millions of animals on unregulated fur farms--including cats and dogs--are often skinned alive.

For two decades, PETA's "We'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign has grabbed headlines in cities around the world--from New York to Tokyo and Milan to Moscow.

"By showing some of our skin, we hope to help save animals' skins," says Dickinson.
