Work at PETA

It takes a lot of dedicated people to end animal suffering! We are looking for smart, compassionate, hard-working people to join our team, and you might have just the skills we need. Whether you're up for stripping down for a theater-style street demo or are more comfortable keeping the whole project on budget, this could be the place for you. The positions require a variety of skills and backgrounds. Take a look at our open positions to see if you have what it takes to join the fight to end animal abuse. If you don't see anything right now, check back often—things are always changing around here.

You've probably heard of PETA by now since it's the largest animal rights organization in the world, but you might not know about the PETA Foundation. In short, it's the organization that helps PETA run. Departments like IT, Development, and Interactive Media are all part of the PETA Foundation. PETA and the PETA Foundation are two separate organizations, but we work very closely together, and one couldn't exist without the other.

Ready to Apply? We Thought So!

We get hundreds of résumés and don't want to overlook someone great—so here are some tips and suggestions to make your information stand out from the crowd.

The first thing you'll need to do is pick the one and only position for which you are most qualified (you can click on the location to see the whole list of openings in that area). Sometimes we are not picky about where you work from—these positions are located under "Telecommuting Opportunities." Don't worry, we're very diligent about keeping our site up to date; if there is a position open, it's listed here.

Once you select a position, you'll be directed to an online form where we can learn a little bit more about your skills and why working here is so important to you. This section can take 30 minutes to complete, and there is no way to save your information during the process, so make sure you've set aside some time for this.

The final step in the online application is attaching your résumé. It's important for it to be up to date and relevant to the position for which you're applying . Applications without résumés will not be considered.

Since we want to ensure the best fit, we always compare an applicant's skill set against all open positions—because of this, duplicate or unsolicited résumés will not be considered for employment.

There are no closing dates on our positions; they are open until the very best person is found.

Both PETA and the PETA Foundation are equal opportunity employers.

Staff members in U.S.-based positions must furnish proof of their right to work in the U.S.

Not able to work in the U.S.? Check out PETA's international affiliates.
