Online Fundraising Creative Assistant

Position Objective:

To assist the Development Department in the creation and implementation of online fundraising initiatives with an emphasis on e-mail and e-commerce design

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Online Fundraising Manager

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with the online fundraising manager to design, implement, and send HTML and text versions of development e-mails
  • Work with the online fundraising manager, the Development Department, and Web staff to design and implement landing pages, Web sites, and other development Web properties
  • Assist in testing to improve the results of e-mail campaigns and Web-based initiatives while ensuring routine compliance with both Web and house standards
  • Keep all jobs on the schedule created by the online fundraising manager, and respond to breaking fundraising opportunities
  • Work with Development Department staff to maintain donor and nondonor data within the Get Active CRM system
  • Assist with the tracking and analysis of PETA's e-mail efforts, as needed
  • Take on any additional related duties, as requested by the online fundraising manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Knowledge of effective Web and graphic design required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to edit HTML on multiple platforms and using text-based editors
  • Basic experience with graphic software packages (PhotoShop preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Web standards (CSS desirable)
  • Some knowledge of e-mail marketing, online marketing, and/or fundraising desirable
  • Meticulous attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
