PETA & FSAP Benefits

Hours 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. or 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Vacation 0-23 months of employment 10 days
  24-59 months of employment 15 days
  60 or more months of employment 20 days
Sick Leave 10 days per year
Holidays Nine days per year (to be determined at the beginning of each year) and one birthday holiday
Personal Days A staff member is eligible for personal days as of the January following his or her one-year anniversary. At that point, the staff member receives two personal days per calendar year.

As of the January following a staff member’s completion of five years of service, he or she is eligible to receive three personal days per calendar year.
Payroll Biweekly (26 pay periods per year)
Flex Plan This allows staff members to make contributions with pre-tax dollars (rather than after-tax dollars) to the following benefits:
  1. United Healthcare: Two PPO plans and one HMO plan are offered and provide medical, prescription, and vision coverage.
  2. Delta Dental: This is a PPO plan and provides coverage for dental care.

3. Retirement Plan (401k): Staff members are eligible to enroll after one year of employment. The plan offers 10 different investment options and an employer match.

 

A $50,000 employer-paid life/accident insurance policy is provided to all full-time employees. Additional buy-up options are available to employees at a group rate.

Long-term disability coverage is offered to all full-time staff members at a group rate.

Lunches Three vegan lunches per week are provided at cost.
Discount All staff members are entitled to a 30 percent discount on the member prices of PETA merchandise.
Other

The consumption and/or wearing of animal products in PETA offices is prohibited.

A "No Smoking" policy is in effect in PETA offices.
