After we were informed that the Northern Tool + Equipment store in Little Rock, Arkansas, was setting glue traps to catch rodents, we immediately contacted company management. Victims of these vile devices suffer immensely, succumbing to shock, dehydration, asphyxiation, or blood loss after ripping themselves apart in their frantic struggle to escape the gooey mess. Exhausted and terrified, they can take days to die—in fact, labels instruct users just to toss trapped animals into the garbage! Furthermore, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cautions against their use because of the human health risks they pose. And glue traps are indiscriminate, ensnaring countless “nontarget” species every year. But despite sharing all this with the company, our pleas have gone unanswered—so your help is desperately needed.
Please take a moment to urge the company to ditch glue traps—then, share this alert with everyone you know.
