Mobile, Ala. -- Covered in blue and green body paint, a PETA member representing Mother Earth will hold a poster that reads, "Save the Planet--Go Vegan," while standing on a busy street corner in Mobile. The nearly naked "Mother Earth" will be accompanied by PETA supporters who will hand out leaflets that explain the reasons why meat production is bad for the environment.
Where: Intersection of S. Jackson and Dauphin streets, MobileWhen: Wednesday, April 21, 12 noon
"More and more, we're hearing about the damage that meat production does to forests, our water supply, and the global climate," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "We urge Mobile residents to 'respect their mothers' by switching to a plant-based diet."
