This morning, PETA sent a letter to Scott R. Matthews of the law firm Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf asking him to urge his client DOM Partners LLC to donate the company's Sex.com Web domain to PETA so that the group can use it to educate visitors about the wonders of "veggie Viagra." PETA made the offer after learning that DOM Partners will auction off Sex.com on March 18. Donating the site to PETA could mean a big tax write-off for DOM Partners. PETA points out that males who consume meat, eggs, and dairy products often suffer sexual side effects because the saturated fat and cholesterol in animal-derived products slow the flow of blood to all the body's organs, not just the heart.

"PETA wants to turn carnivores on... to vegan foods--a natural form of Viagra," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "Our offer makes everyone a winner: DOM Partners can take a huge tax write-off, and visitors to Sex.com can charge up their sex lives while saving animals' lives."

Dear Mr. Matthews:

On behalf of PETA and our more than 2 million members and supporters, I'm writing with a stimulating proposal: Please urge your client, Dom Partners, LLC, to donate the domain Sex.com to PETA in exchange for a tax write-off. PETA has never hesitated to use sex to make people aware that going vegan is the best thing that you can do for animals, your body, and your lover, so it makes sense for Sex.com and PETA to hook up.

A vegan diet supports a lifetime of good health and great sex. High cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, and prostate cancer are strongly linked to the consumption of meat and dairy foods, but science suggests that all these conditions can be largely prevented with a healthy vegan diet, which helps remove plaque from arteries to get the blood flowing to all major organs.

Visitors to the newly revamped Sex.com site could watch our sexy Super Bowl ads like "Veggie Love" (about how a vegan diet can enhance your time between the sheets) or watch Alicia Silverstone's naked testimonial--living proof that a vegan diet does a body good. They could gaze on sultry ads featuring gorgeous vegetarians, like Pamela Anderson and Owain Yeoman, or join the action and participate in one of our Sexiest Vegetarian contests. They could also read about the many vegan foods that are natural aphrodisiacs.

In addition to the benefits of switching to a vegan diet, site visitors would learn that every vegan saves more than 100 animals a year from the horrors of factory farming and slaughter, during which chickens and turkeys have their throats cut while still conscious, piglets have their tails and testicles cut off without any painkillers, and calves are taken away from their mothers so that the milk intended for them can be consumed by humans instead.

Donating the domain to us is a win-win situation for everybody: Your client will enjoy an enormous tax write-off, and people will learn how to help spice up their love lives while helping animals. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Tracy Reiman
Executive Vice President
