Los Angeles -- Jenna Jameson may be famous for her risque roles in adult films, but her latest video is the most shocking of all. Jameson has teamed up with PETA for a new video that reveals what happens to chickens who are killed for the Golden Arches. "If you ask chickens," says Jameson in the video, "there's no such thing as a 'Happy Meal.'"
McDonald's American suppliers are under fire for using a crude killing method that often causes birds to suffer the pain of broken wings and broken legs, have their throats cut while they are still conscious, and be scalded to death in defeathering tanks. PETA--along with members of McDonald's own Animal Welfare Council--says that the modern method of slaughter used in Europe is better for animals than the method currently being used to kill them, but McDonald's refuses to require it.
Says Jameson, "There's a less cruel method of slaughter that renders chickens unconscious, but McDonald's chooses to allow birds to be mutilated and scalded instead."
