Detroit -- Today's baseball stadiums offer an ever-increasing array of healthy and delicious vegetarian food choices. So for the 11th straight year, PETA has ranked the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks, and Comerica Park has captured third place on the list.

"There's a trio worth cheering for at Comerica Park—and we're not just talking about Justin Verlander, Prince Fielder, and Miguel Cabrera. We mean the stadium's vegetarian Italian sausages, mock riblets, and vegan hot dogs," says PETA Associate Director Chris Holbein. "With these and other great-tasting vegetarian options available, Tigers fans can show that they care about cows, pigs, and chickens, too."

Other big hits leading the vegetarian lineup at Comerica Park include vegetarian sushi, black-bean burgers, and veggie wraps.

Sliding into first place is Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, which serves barbecue-pit-style vegetarian beef and decadent faux-chicken sandwiches. Climbing all the way to second place after receiving only an honorable mention last year is Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners and now home also to vegan specialties such as the IchiBan veggie dog with teriyaki-glazed onions, grated daikon and carrot, shredded nori, and creamy vegan dressing and the Seattle chili veggie dog with vegan cream cheese. Rounding out the top five are the Oakland A's O.co Coliseum and the Los Angeles Dodgers' Dodger Stadium. Hammond Stadium, home of the Fort Myers Miracle, took top honors in the minor leagues.

Each major and minor league team to make the Top 10 Vegetarian-Friendly Ballparks list will receive a framed certificate from PETA. For more information and to see the complete major and minor league rankings, please click here and here.
