1/2 lbs. Lacinato (Tuscan) kale, tough stems removed and coarsely chopped2
Tbsp. olive oil1/3
cup finely chopped red onion3
cloves garlic, thinly sliced1
dried red chile, such as chile de árbol, crumbled1/2
tsp. fennel seeds5
cups vegetable stock, preferably homemade (Martha shows you how in her
