How to Make a Vegan Frappe

The following article was written by Ashley Palmer.

I love fancy coffee. You know the kind—cool and caffeinated, extra-creamy, and topped with whipped cream made from rice milk. But buying frappés and lattes at specialty coffee shops can add up—on your bank account and your waistline—rather quickly. The solution? Make your own!

By making frappés at home, you control every ingredient. Want an extra dash of flavored syrup? No problem! Want to add soy milk? No extra charge! Plus, you can use healthier ingredients.

This super-simple recipe is perfect for at-home employees, penny pinchers, and coffee lovers. Enjoy!

Vegan Frappé
1 pkt. instant coffee
8 ice cubes
1/4 cup almond, rice, or soy milk
Optional: sweetener of choice, flavored syrup, vegan whipped cream, chocolate chips

  • Place the coffee, ice cubes, and vegan milk in a blender and blend until creamy.
  • Pour into glasses and add optional flavorings and garnishes. Serve immediately.

Makes 2 servings
