10-Minute BBQ Tofu

 Need a quick and filling meal in a pinch? Try out this easy step-by-step recipe for BBQ tofu that's ready in 10 minutes or less!

Before you get started, make sure you have the following ingredients ready:

  • Extra-firm tofu, drained and pressed (if you get the "vacuum-sealed" kind, you can skip the pressing)
  • Cooking oil
  • Barbecue sauce
  • Multigrain bread

Step One: Slice the tofu into thin strips.

 

Step Two: Coat a frying pan with a very thin layer of cooking oil and place the tofu strips in the pan.

 

Step Three: Cook the tofu at medium to high heat, flipping occasionally, until golden and slightly crispy.

 

Step Four: Pour your favorite vegan barbecue sauce over the tofu.

 

Step Five: Coat with the barbecue sauce and allow to sizzle and absorb the flavor. 


Step Six: Serve between two slices of multigrain bread and enjoy!
