About Mylie

Mylie

I became an animal rights activist at the age of 14 when I first learned about animal testing. My best friend was a guinea pig named Nibbles, and I was outraged that Nibbles' friends and cousins were being blinded in laboratories to test my shampoo! I stopped using products that were tested on animals and quickly learned about other issues, like the use of animals for clothing, food, and entertainment. As a result, I went vegan.

I now spend most of my free time inventing things and making vegan versions of all my favorite not traditionally vegan foods, like Big Macs, mac 'n' cheese, cupcakes, and sushi. I have a small cake-decorating addiction and Magnum P.I.-type skills for finding accidentally vegan and cruelty-free mainstream products. I am most happy when I am in front of my adorable Hello Kitty sewing machine, on the dance floor with some '80s new wave, or holding hands with a soy mocha and my fiancé at the same time.

I am mesmerized by video games like Katamari, nocturnal animals, homemade popcorn, coffee, tea, vintage home-decorating books, cute vegan cupcakes, stegosauruses, vegan sushi, Manic Panic hair dye, crafty things, and pigeons and other birds who make nests out of paper and wrappers from the street.

I am horrified by animal slaughter, a lack of compassion, the color yellow, glue traps used to capture and torture little animals, and pop country.
