About Lindsay

Lindsay

I've been writing about animals most of my life. In the first grade, I wrote a "book" praising skunks; by the seventh grade, I was writing reports on the evils of vivisection. Now, as a staff writer for PETA, I get to put my love for animals and writing to work full-time. I also volunteer for my local animal shelter, where my husband, Steve, and I adopted our family: Pete the dog, who jumps 4 feet straight up into the air when we go for our daily walks, and Digit and Lucy, sassy and sweet (respectively) kitty sisters who have opposable "thumbs." In my free time, I can usually be found laughing loudly with friends, gardening, running, biking, taking a Pilates class, watching movies, planning theme parties, escaping to the beach, or adding to my Hello Kitty collection.
