I'm a senior writer for PETA. I've worked here for about 13 years, mostly in Writers Group, where I write letters, articles, and op-eds for newspapers, Web sites, and magazines. I'm a Baltimore native, but I now live in Norfolk, Virginia, with my rescued dog, Carly. We both enjoy eating vegan food, playing, lying in the sun, growling at anyone who wanders too close to our territory, and watching Orioles baseball games. I've been vegan for 16 years, and before coming to PETA, I was active with a grassroots group in Baltimore, so I have lots of experience with animal rights issues. Carly has been vegan for about 10 years and is a bit of a "couch potato" although she has protested against puppy mills and pet stores.
