Vegan Fashion Retailer Vaute Opens Flagship Store in Manhattan

Published by .

Vaute has been a vegan fashion pioneer for some time now, famous for its ethically produced luxury coats and clothing for men and women.

After its Brooklyn store closed in late 2015, owner Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart was quick to find a new location—this time in Manhattan.

The recent grand opening was a blast, and sweet vegan treats were served to those who swung by: macarons from Sweet Maresa of Confectionery, mini cupcakes by Chef Chloe Coscarelli of by Chloe. restaurant fame, doughnuts from Dun-Well Doughnuts, and tea from Runa and MatchaBar.

But that’s not all! A free Vaute lip tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics was given to the first 100 purchasers. We swoon.

The always dog-friendly boutique is located in Manhattan’s trendy Lower East Side neighborhood, close to Obsessive Compulsive and vegan retailer MooShoes, making it a veritable vegan shopping district.

The store is open every day from 12 noon to 8 p.m., so check it out if you’re in the Big Apple, or shop online.
