Manic Panic Hair Extensions: Unleash Your Inner Rock Star

The following article was written by Keegan Baur.

Have you ever wanted to do something super fun and daringly different to your hair but haven’t been brave enough? If your answer is “Yes,” you’re just like me! Fortunately for those of us who are wary of drastic changes, you don’t have to commit to an extreme cut or color (or support a cruel trend like feather hair extensions) in order to sport a fresh new look. Enter Manic Panic hair strips:

Internationally renowned hair color and cosmetics company Tish & Snooky’s Manic Panic has produced cutting-edge hair dye, makeup, and nail polish since the ’70s. Over the years, this company’s rainbow-like spectrum of brightly colored and cruelty-free products have bestowed rock ‘n’ roll glam on countless girls who’ve dared to be different. Now, you can add yourself to this cadre of feisty and fashionable “femmes fatales” by entering our contest and scoring your very own Savage Tiger Glam Strips! Two lucky winners will each receive a pair of these racy hair extensions in the hue(s) of their choice: Vampire Red and/or Natural Blonde.

Is anybody else pumped at the prospect of changing up your hairstyle without having to make a long-term commitment? If you’re ready to turn heads with two of these cruelty-free and hot-hued hair extensions, leave a comment letting us know the first place that you plan on rocking your new look! After you comment, fill out the form below and submit your entry by July 22, 2011. Two winners will be chosen at random and notified on July 25, 2011.

This technique is the least permanent and can be very effective without the disadvantages such as traction alopecia associated with glue extensions. The hair weft has small toupee clips sewn onto them.

I am going on holiday in two weeks time. It would be the perfect opportunity to try these out! I was going to invest in some feather extensions, however, I had heard them to have caused pain and suffering to some of the animals! I would love to be the one to achieve the “holiday fashion” and believe these can help me do so. From chilling at the pool to in the club on a night time, or even an evening meal. These would let me spice up my already restricted hairstyle (only shoulder-length!) and help me rock out this summer! They would also be the perfect festival accessory for when I attend Leeds Fest 2011! They’re awesome!

I am growing my hair out for Locks of Love. It is now down to the middle of my back, and it is “virgin” hair (never dyed, permed, or chemically treated in any way). I want it to be in the best possible condition for the organization. I will admit I’ve been tempted to dye my hair for a new look, but I have always resisted the urge. However, with Manic Panic’s Glam Strips I could have the best of all worlds: keep my hair untarnished for the donee and spice up my look, all while remaining cruelty free!

I am growing out my hair for Locks of Love. It is now to the middle of my back and I have “virgin” hair (never been dyed, permed, or chemically treated) because I want to give the best quality hair to the organization as possible. I won’t lie; I’ve been tempted to dye my hair, but I always resist the urge. However, with these extensions I could spice up my look without altering the hair of a future donee. Helping animals and people: a win-win situation!

  • Remy Hair Girl says:

I am afraid I would not be showing them off. This is one fad I hope fades soon. Sorry.

  • Lolly says:

I always tought the feather extension looked disgusting, beacause it reminds me of dead birds. The first place I would wear those amazing cruelty free extensions would be at the shelter where I volunteer. I really want to show them to the saved rooster that lives there! I can’t be as fierce and great looking at him, but I can try! ;)

For their rockin debut, i’d wear my extensions to my best friend’s engagement party with a black corset, black tutu with red hearts and gorgeous boots. And, of course, scarlet red lips.

  • case says:

Plan on rocking this look at home first. I’ll let my cat decide if they look good. She loves playing with hair. If she plays with them they’re good. After that just at Uni and out and about.

First place I’d show these off is at my work. A few of my coworkers have been getting the ubersad rooster feathers and I’d love to show off some rockin’ alternatives. These extensions look better than rooster feathers too!
