Why My Cat Is My Purr-fect Valentine

Published by .

My Valentine’s date this year might be a little shorter than my usual type, and he might be a bit hairier than I normally prefer, but he is very handsome—and I love him! He’s my Valentine’s Day cat! I couldn’t ask for a better valentine, and I’ll tell you why.

I’m glad my cat is my valentine because:

My cat isn’t allergic to cats.

When we cuddle, my cat lets me be the big spoon.

My cat makes me laugh.

Like when he sleeps with his tongue out.

My cat helps me work.

My cat always protects me.

My cat can find a cozy spot anywhere in the house.

My cat doesn’t judge me for being a crazy cat lady.

My cat loves me for me and doesn’t care if I’m having a bad hair day or am sick or cranky—he loves me all the same!

Cats make great valentines, but they’re also wonderful companions the other 364 days of the year. Just remember to respect their space—let cats come to you for a Valentine’s Day kiss or cuddle, if they want to. If you’re considering a new feline companion, remember to adopt, not shop!

Give your cat a special gift by supporting PETA’s spay and neuter program in their name:
