Riley was attacked by another dog, leaving his tail a bloodied, mutilated stump and his tailbone exposed. An attack by another dog left Cinder with her ear nearly torn off her head. She was left to suffer with serious injury without any vetinary care. When Midnight escaped from his inadequate makeshift pen, he was attacked by approximately six other dogs who were also loose. He suffered in a dark back room, where he was deprived of veterinary care and pain relief for at least two days. ACGS is severely infested with rats, who are attracted to filthy conditions, overflowing trash, and improperly stored feed. Inadequate structure and drainage on the property result in recurrent flooding of pens and enclosures during rainfall, leading to extremely unsanitary conditions and the spread of disease.
Many enclosures at ACGS are structurally unsound and in disrepair, putting animals at risk for injuries from sharp, exposed wires and making escapes almost a daily occurrence. This dog, also named Cinder, was left to suffer from a painful, raw, wounded tail for months without any veterinary care. Roxanne, a severely emaciated female Boston terrier, was in this condition for weeks. This cat suffering from an untreated eye infection, unable to open her right eye and sneezing constantly because of an upper respiratory infection while housed next to other untreated cats, also sneezing and coughing, leaving mucous all over the floor. This cat is suffering from a severe untreated eye infection and living in a cramped and filthy cage.
