Constance Marie Says, “Curb Cat and Dog Overpopulation!”

Despite her busy schedule, Constance Marie was delighted to appear in PETA’s new Spanish-language advertisement that urges people to spay and neuter their companion animals to help curb the cat and dog overpopulation crisis. The eyebrow-raising ad notes that animals can’t use condoms so it’s up to their human guardians to ensure that they don’t get pregnant.

What Are You Waiting for? The Time to Spay and Neuter Is Now.

Have you been putting off spaying your Sophie because she’s an “inside” dog? Is there an unneutered cat hanging around the back porch? Does your neighbor have an unaltered dog chained up in the yard? Is your coworker giving away a litter of kittens?

Get those animals neutered right away! It’s the nicest thing you can do for them. Spaying not only reduces the stress and discomfort that females endure during heat periods, it also eliminates the risk of uterine cancer and greatly reduces the chances of getting mammary cancer. Neutering makes males far less likely to roam or fight and helps prevent testicular cancer.

One Spay Saves Many Lives

By preventing animals from being born and subsequently abandoned or given away to irresponsible people, you prevent animals from being hit by cars, attacked by other animals or cruel people, stolen by laboratory dealers, used as “bait” by dogfighters, or simply stuck outside to die of starvation, exposure, or neglect.
