PETA’s "Developing Empathy for Animals" Seminar

What You Can Do

  • Ask the NFL to Require All Players to Develop Empathy For Animals

  • Teach Kids Kindness
PETA encourages those who can to work with local groups to help children understand the importance of kindness to animals. When children learn to respect and care for animals, they are often able to avoid continuing cycles of violent behavior. Our two favorite programs to take into classrooms and community organizations are Share the World (for elementary school students) and Just Choices (for junior high and high school students). If you are interested in obtaining more information from PETA about either of these programs, please e-mail info@teachkind.org.

  • Report Cruelty to Animals
If you see someone abusing an animal, please report it to your local police department immediately. People who are violent towards animals rarely stop there—your swift action could prevent more violence. If your local authorities are unresponsive and you know of an animal in immediate danger, please contact us for assistance.
