The Syracuse “Meet Your Meat” demo was blessed with the presence of representatives from the cattle, dairy, and poultry industries. They circled the truck, desperately trying to get some air time from the radio station that was interviewing us. We smiled and gave them some of the vegetarian leaflets and vegetarian starter kits that we were handing out by the dozens to people who stopped to see what all the commotion was about.
