Mexican pop sensation Patricia Manterola bared her clawsand a whole lot moreto battle cruelty to animals under the big top. Wearing only painted-on tiger stripes, the popular performer starred in PETAs first-ever bilingual ad, which we launched in steamy Miami.
Patricia wanted to reach Spanish-speaking audiences with her message to boycott circuses, responding to marketing schemes by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus targeting the Hispanic community. Ringling never tells circusgoers how its trainers use whips, muzzles, electric prods, and bullhooks to force animals to perform confusing, often frightening acts night after night, for up to 50 weeks a year.
Patricias provocative pose proves that shes willing to show her true colors about animal rights.
