Boss Models, a top modeling agency, got behind PETA’s Fur Campaign by vowing that its models would only go on fur-free assignments. We celebrated the policy with this ad, featuring eight Boss models who reveal that fur is not all it’s cracked up to be and urge, “Turn Your Back on Fur.”
Our “Boss” ad got the job done. Like Boss Models, others in the fashion world were quick to swear off fur. Models Christy Turlington and Tyra Banks won’t wear fur, and designers Stella McCartney, Anne Klein, Marc Bouwer, Chloé, Perry Ellis, Baby Phat, and Todd Oldham are just
a handful of the designers who refuse to work with fur.
Newspapers and magazines all over the world ran PETA’s “Boss” ad, and millions of people swore off fur—for good.
