Iams needs to learn that it can’t get away with what we found at this laboratory. Iams and P&G contract with 29 other labs that we know of, and as far as we’re concerned, there is no assurance that they aren’t just as bad as this one … maybe worse.

Call, write, e-mail, or fax Iams and P&G. Tell them you won’t be buying Iams for your animal companions until they stop conducting nutritional experiments on cats and dogs and, instead, rely on laboratory analysis of formulas for nutritional composition and in-home palatability studies using dogs and cats whose human companions have volunteered them for such tests.

Iams, which also makes Eukanuba, is not the only company that uses animals in laboratories for feeding trials. PETA has compiled a list of dog and cat food companies that don’t test on animals. Please buy only from these companies.
